HR - Finance and Operations Intern

About the Role

As an HR Operations and Finance Intern, you will support daily cross-departmental workflows between Human Resources, Finance, and Business Operations. This position handles essential operational tasks ranging from processing monthly payroll inputs and tracking operational expenses to updating employee records and coordinating smooth onboarding cycles. We are looking for someone to join our team full-time in the office, so a reliable commute is essential.


Requirements

  • Payroll & Financial Administration:
    • Collect, verify, and reconcile timesheets, leave records, and expense reimbursements for monthly payroll runs.
    • Assist the finance team with HR-related invoicing, vendor billing, and contractor payments.
    • Help maintain records for statutory compliance (taxes, pension/provident fund contributions, and employee insurance).
  • HR Operations & Onboarding:
    • Coordinate end-to-end operational onboarding and offboarding, including equipment coordination, access provisioning, and document collection.
    • Maintain and audit accurate personnel data across the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and enterprise tools.
    • Draft standard documentation such as offer letters, verification of employment, and policy updates.
  • Process Optimization & Reporting:
    • Generate monthly headcount, attrition, and department operational spend reports.
    • Help document and streamline internal standard operating procedures (SOPs) across HR and operations.
    • Act as a first-line contact for internal employee queries regarding leave policies, expense reimbursement guidelines, and basic benefit administration.
